Hello There!
My name is Dmitry Marcy and this is my story:
I grew up on an island in Washington called Vashon where I had my first experience with African Drumming at the age of 8. Amid my drumming lessons, I learned Piano from my grandmother and picked up some guitar techniques as well.
From then on, I pursued my interest in electronic forms of music as well as the drum set. As of now, I have more than seven years of drum set experience.
In high school, I lived in Lake Oswego, Oregon. There, I developed an insatiable thirst for knowledge. This, of course, gave me a more diverse pallet of music.
I take inspiration from a host of musical influences including Eric Brosius, Tycho, Nujabes, Michael Bross, Josh Gabriel, Sufjan Stevens, Mark Morrison, Joe Millionair, and Bonobo.
